This Time It’s Personal…


You already know that our goal is to help busy business owners get control of their lives and all aspects of their business.  What matters to us is YOUR RESULTS.  Every week throughout each quarter we share tips, ideas and stories about the 9 Key Areas of Business.  Yes, the areas covered on our BUSINESS ACCELERATOR BLUEPRINT.  You’ve got a copy haven’t you?  It’s the simple one page guide that underpins everything we do.  And it’s what we covered on our quarterly masterclass last Tuesday.  (See below for access if you haven’t already!)

But this time it’s personal.

As we wrap up another round of the 9 boxes/areas and a walk through of the whole model, we meet the ‘all-seeing’ box 10:  PERSONAL – what really matters to you as a human being.  Imagine for a second that this is the filter you see and approach your life through.  

If you’re looking at any aspect of your business it has to match the requirements of your ‘lens’/viewer.  In other words . . . ‘ok, this is where my time goes every day/week/month etc.  Is this what I really want to be doing?’.  Is your work something you are passionate about?  Is it something you are committed to?

If it fires you up, you’re much more likely to jump out of bed, bright-eyed and bushy tailed with a hunger to get into the day and take the small steps that make a big difference.  

If you’re no longer motivated and inspired by what you do . . . well, how can you expect anyone else to be?  Team?  Clients?  Suppliers?  Your family?  Friends?

So we always wrap up the walk through the BUSINESS ACCELERATOR BLUEPRINT areas with a reminder to make it personal.

  • How has your last quarter (or even year, so far) gone?
  • Did you get the right balance of work, rest and play?
  • Are you having fun?
  • Do you get time out?
  • Are you happy where you are (at this point in the quarter/year)?

You know my mantra:  if it’s not what you want, or not your ideal, or even really challenging . . .’it doesn’t have to be like that’.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s this:

It’s always about the people. 

Finding people that support you is the “hack” to anything we do.

And as a professional, you most definitely have had people helping you. 

So, you should post about them on LinkedIn.

Now, you’re probably already thinking about a few people you could do this with. 

I’d say, give it a go. 

Showing appreciation to others is how you’ll get attention for yourself. 

No, this type of post won’t convert into new clients. At least not likely. 

But, it will build a stronger community for you, and that’s already a win.
